- Can I click words inside an explanation to go deeper?
- Yes — this is the "digger". In any word or sentence explanation, the highlighted parts are themselves clickable and open a fresh explanation of that part, as deep as you want to go, with a back arrow to retrace your steps. It works in the extension overlay and in the web-app trainer.
- Does FlixFluent measure my level?
- Yes, with proficiency tests in the web app: multiple-choice tests covering grammar, vocabulary, and reading, with every question tagged to a CEFR level. Your result maps to A1–C2 with a per-category breakdown, your attempt history is kept so you can track progress, and each test can be retaken after a 1-day cooldown.
- Which languages have proficiency tests?
- English and Korean, with question prompts localised for English- and Korean-speaking users. Other languages do not have tests yet.
- How do I install FlixFluent?

- Do I need a separate account?
- Yes — you sign in with email or Google / Apple / Kakao / Naver / Microsoft OAuth.

- No. FlixFluent reads subtitle tracks Netflix already serves; it does not modify or download video.
- Does FlixFluent work offline?
- No. Translations and deconstructions require server access.
- Does FlixFluent slow down Netflix?
- There is a small overlay rendering cost; in normal use it is unnoticeable.
- Is FlixFluent good for absolute beginners?
- It can be used at A1 / A2, but the most value lands at high-beginner / lower-intermediate (late A2 or B1) when most sentences are within reach.
- Is FlixFluent good for advanced learners?
- Yes — at the upper-intermediate and advanced level it is mostly used for sentence-level deconstruction on the few sentences per episode that confuse you, and for shadowing.

- Does FlixFluent have an SRS or flashcard system?
- Yes — the vocabulary trainer in the web app (app.flixfluent.com). Words you look up while watching become flashcards that keep their original sentence and episode as context, scheduled with FSRS at a 90% retention target. - Can I import or export Anki decks?
- Import: yes — Anki .apkg files and CSV both import into the trainer. Export: CSV only; there is no .apkg export.
- How many new flashcards does the trainer give per day?
- Base 10, adapting between 5 and 20 based on your trailing 14-day retention and how difficult upcoming words look. A "show me 5 more" button adds more on demand.
- Do I have to type answers in the trainer?
- No. Typed recall ("force me to type") is off by default and can be enabled in settings. When on, answers within one or two characters count as near misses rather than failures, and on-screen keyboards cover Korean, Arabic, Hebrew, and Hindi.
- Is FlixFluent good for Korean specifically?

- Are translations machine-generated?
- Yes. Hover translation uses machine translation; the deconstruction layer adds the structured analysis on top.
- How accurate is the grammar analysis?
- High for common sentence patterns, occasionally imperfect on edge cases (idioms, archaic register). Treat the deconstruction as a strong starting point, not gospel.
